“I can say that the residency at Capacete was one of the best art-related experiences I have had in my life, and the stay with you in Brazil echoes through my practice as a curator and educator till this day. The attitude I found at Capacete, of not expecting anything, yet supporting the things I wanted to do stimulated experimentation and new ways of thinking, doing and working. For a small country like Norway, the residents that came out of Capacete contributed a little wave of Capacete in the country, and hopefully in the same generous way as what I found in Rio and Sao Paulo. The remnants of the residency continue to grow as I start my own residency programs and alternative learning programs.”
