VASKOS is a multidisciplinary duo formed in Athens in 2014 by Vassilis Noulas and Kostas Tzimoulis. Their work playfully explores artistic, sexual, and national identities through performance, photography, drawing, ceramics, publishing, and curatorial practice. At the core of their work lies a celebration of artistic collaboration, challenging traditional notions of individual identity and singular authorship. VASKOS uses free association with words, texts, objects and materials, opts for open homoeroticism, camps weird identities, and anticipates eco-queerness.
VASKOS has long been active in Athens’ queer and artistic communities, initiating self-organized spaces such as EIGHT / ΤΟ ΟΧΤΩ (@eight_athens) and taking part in collective events. They are also key members of the experimental theatre group Nova Melancholia (@novamelancholia).
VASKOS’ work has been presented at the 9th Thessaloniki Biennial (2026), 18th Istanbul Biennial (2025), NEON Organization (2024), Athens Photo Festival (2022, 2019), EMST (2024, 2022), PCAI (2024, 2023, 2022), Greek National Opera (2022), TRANSFORM queer festival Marseille (2022), HKW Berlin (2022), Phenomenon Anafi (2021).
