xow.rumi

In 2022, xow.rumi was born from a collaboration between artists Antoine de Mena and Helmut Batista, in a movement of progressive return to in-person activities after the Covid-19 crisis. At that moment, xow.rumi conceived its proposals and actions in a house in the Glória neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, reviving the philosophies that had always been at the heart of CAPACETE: the production of critical thinking, encounters, and experimentation.

xow.rumi collective (2023 – 2025)

Even in the face of socioeconomic fragilities, the xow.rumi management model enabled the creation of a collective body between 2023 and 2025, composed of artists and curators also concerned with the development of pedagogical practices linked to their poetics: Agatha Fiúza, Agatha Maria, André Victor, Bruna Costa, Camila Morais, Danilo Nóbrega, Felipe Amancio, Felipe Carnaúba, Frekwéncia, João Porto, Ju Angelino, Luisa Pereira, Mari Falcão, Melgga, Murilo Marques, Rubens Takamine, and viníciux da silva.

xow.rumi school of arts (2026)

xow.rumi is preparing to put into practice the knowledge accumulated over years of preparation through an ongoing project with free courses and artistic guidance offered by former xow.rumi-CAPACETE residents.
