Frekwéncia (1997) is a multimedia artist based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her speculative compositional practice combines performance with sound, visual, and textual art. Her research explores hapticity, Black memories and socialities, fugitive modes of listening, archival gaps, visible and invisible materialities, and àṣẹ—the vital energy present in all things within the Yoruba worldview—thereby grounding a sonic and vibrational poetics anchored in the body and the relationship between the worlds of the living and the dead. She holds a degree in Social Sciences Education from the Federal Fluminense University (2020) and a qualification in Sound Techniques from the Brazilian Theater Institute (2024). Since 2024, she has served as the pedagogical coordinator for the Laboratory of Anticolonial Studies (LEAC) and participated in the Xow.Rumi Residency Program at Capacete in Rio de Janeiro, developing collaborative projects and experimental aesthetics. In 2025, she will undertake residencies at La Nueva Fábrica in Antigua, Guatemala, and Habitar Vínculos (organized by Terra Saúva) in Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil.
