Flaviana Lasan is a visual artist, curator, producer, and educator. Holding a degree in Visual Arts, a postgraduate qualification in the Teaching of History and Latin America, and currently pursuing a master’s degree in Education, she conducts critical research aimed at deconstructing hegemonic teaching models, with an emphasis on community-based educational practices. With over a decade of experience in visual arts, theater, and cinema, she works at the intersection of artistic creation, educational processes, and cultural policy. Her research spans art history through a gender lens, the art market from a grassroots perspective, and the role of art in the construction of memory. She has spearheaded projects such as the JUNTA Fair and the Audiovisual Culture Festival (FAC), and has curated events for CURA (Urban Art Circuit), the 5th Décio Noviello Award, and exhibitions at the Palácio das Artes, the Museum of Arts and Crafts (Museu de Artes e Ofícios), and Sesc Palladium, among others. She is currently a collaborator with Estúdio Verkron (Luanda, Angola) and a regional cultural assistant at the National Arts Foundation (FUNARTE) in Minas Gerais.
