David Bergé is an interdisciplinary artist based between Athens and Brussels. His works transform everyday life and objects into temporal—and often participatory—mediations. Bergé is best known for his “Walk Pieces.” In these immersive experiences, the audience joins the artist for a timed, silent walk, drawing attention to the urban space’s conditions—both political and climatic—and revealing hidden power structures and social wounds that, while sometimes concealed, remain open.
Recently, David Bergé founded the experimental publishing platform PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPANDED PUBLISHING ATHENS, which currently encompasses the imprints @kyklada.press and @time_based_editions, as well as “Fake Book Launches.”
His residency is a collaboration with Kunsthal Gent (@kunsthalgent).
