Bruna Costa is an independent curator, art historian, and educator. She holds a degree in Art History from the School of Fine Arts at UFRJ—including an exchange period at Sapienza University of Rome in Italy—and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts, also from UFRJ, with research focusing on color and material culture in the work of Hélio Oiticica. She served as studio manager for artist Ernesto Neto from 2020 to 2023 and as a faculty member (EBTT) at CEFET/RJ (Nova Friburgo campus) from 2023 to 2024. Her notable projects include co-curating “Ainda Viva” at Casa de Cultura do Parque (São Paulo, 2024), “Abre Alas 18” at A Gentil Carioca gallery (Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, 2023), and “Zil Zil Zil” at the Hélio Oiticica Municipal Arts Center (Rio de Janeiro, 2022), as well as coordinating the 1st and 2nd Casa Pública Seminars in 2023 and 2024 (Rio de Janeiro). She has taught open courses for SESC Rio, published critical texts in art journals, and served on the National Strike Committee during the 2024 federal faculty strike organized by Andes-SN.
